Virtual goods, vertical sites and affiliate power
The tradebit changes are ahead. We have received around 350 mails with suggestions, feedback and criticism in the last 4 weeks and I wanted to post a big thank you to all the people, who care about tradebit and the way ahead.
To keep you in the loop and give out as much infos as we can, I would like to post another blog post about it here.
The problems:
Some merchants here on tradebit act as resellers of others and have a real problem with the payout rate of 75%. Most of these merchants are turning more than 500US$ per month and as we said: you are obliged for better rates anyhow. With the majority of these merchants we have had detailed conversations in the last weeks and if you feel left out: mail me to pick up discussions right away!
Also a big question mark is behind the free hosting sections. We will handle that fair and simple: if you have a lot of files on sale on tradebit and you complete these files with some freebies, we will not touch your account. If we see extremely high traffic surges on these free files, we will contact you to find a way.
The good things:
Now with the new model there are some positive sales related things ahead. We have tested additional file outlets for specific merchants (like on www.tradesounds.com) and put up some google AdWords advertising for that. We see significantly higher sales on certain accounts and we will implement such processes for all merchants under the new model.
The ongoing copyright complaints can be handled faster and more professional.
Help and support should be much faster and better. We are working on better download code delivery methods for all sales on tradebit. Most of the problems are caused by spam filters. We think we have a way around that!
On Tuesday we will flip the switch and see how it goes. Just be assured, that we are online all day (German and American day time) during Tuesday to make the transition as smooth as possible!
