Earlier this week, the German foundation of IT professional BITKOM released a study for the market of digital goods. A translated version can be seen with Google Translate here: Download Market Study.

It shows a solid growth in the first quarter this year. Over 30% growth compared to the first quarter of last year. This is good news and proves that we are in the right market at the right time. Not all information can be free if serious investments are involved to produce and distribute this information. Consumers know that and are willing to pay a fee for good content.

Also: we are in the middle of preparing a new layout and some bugfixes before we really dive into the “quality summer“.We have found some serious bugs already and the worst have been fixed. Until mid of July we want to present a new platform experience to you. Until then I keep you posted and will write about software and the market.
