Today we have implemented a new level of fraud protection for the merchants on a platform scale: Buying on tradebit via reported open proxies has been completely disabled. We learned that all chargebacks on credit cards came from open proxies or anonymizer services.
We also check the users IP and browser extensively for signs of suspicious behavior to avoid chargebacks and fraud attempts. How exactly that happens will not be disclosed, but we are confident that we learned a lot during the last attacks and continuous attempts of certain low-lifes to trick the platform and the merchants.
With a bazillion new products and partners we are heading for a great 2011. Traffic and sales are on the rise, fraud is going down and we can now go back to enhance the platform along your wishes.
