Preparing tradebit for more storage and power
Just a short note, so you know, what is going on behind the scenes. The constant rise of traffic in the last weeks put some extra load on the servers and the database peaked over 80% resource usage. That is the time to add more processors and more power to the server cluster.
EV1 just notified us, that an additional dual xeon box with 6 Gig RAM went into our rack… we will need some time now to configure the new box and to blend it in… maybe the weekend is a good time to do so.
Expect a 15-20 minutes downtime, while we need to sync the databases, but after that, we have around 12 active Terabytes of Content for your enjoyment on the net AND more database power to serve it!
