Having a network drive via FTP
Tradebit does support FTP up- and downloads. And so do many more services out there! One thing you should know about FTP: it is not encrypted and so not super-secure. But it has the advantage, that it is very very simple and a proven Internet protocol. Grown up, so to speak.
If you have such a service (or use Tradebit), you can add your FTP space to your drives on windows by mapping a network drive with the following URL in your network neighbourhood:
ftp://username:password@username.tradebit.com/
That connects you to your FTP space. You can use that kind of connection with any FTP space you have out there. This is extremely helpful, if you have a small team scattered over the place and everybody sits miles away. Better would be a VPN, but hey - who wants to bother, if it is just a selection of powerpoint slides you want to share?
