Tradebit Payout Schedule
The shift to the publisher model is done. The feedback is mixed, some errors have happened but some merchants are also very happy that they now have Google checkout as an alternative payment method.
The payout of the merchants will happen weekly now. We calculate with a 3 days grace period to manage all refunds and complaints.
For the first payment, this means:
We will initiate the first payment on the 9th or 10th of April for the 1st to the 7th, then on the 18th for the 8th to the 15th and so on.
This payment schedule is new for us, too - But I think we will establish some more statistics and a fast regular payment quickly! Do not hesitate to contact us, if you think something is missing or wrong. Your daily sales can be monitored LIVE in the member area!

Ralf,
We need to have two separate statistics (actually 3) 1 for earnings outside of Tradebit, 1 for Tradebit earnings and 1 for combined. This is the only way to fairly and accurately track payments and determine commission.
I think the problem (with all due respect) with this transition is is seems dishonest. If you start out not charging you have to finish not charging. This transition was made in 2-3 short months. You basicaaly made yourself our partners whether we like it or not.
Since we started this change, my sales have dropped dramatically. On top of that, I have to give a percent of my smaller sales to Tradebit. This feels like bad business.
If this was the business model from the beginning, many of us would not have signed up.
I hope this model works for you and your investors. Ralf the best investors you could have done business with were your merchants. We have a vested interest in seeing Tradbit succeed.
My company will always find a way to succeed, but this change has made it quite challenging.
Peace,
King David

noted, but disagreed … we see much higher sales across the board - because there is now the google checkout payment button and there are many people, who do not want to use paypal (for whatever reason). We announced the shift 10 weeks early and give everyone a grace period until the 1st of May. I do believe, that 3.5 months is enough for such a shift.
also: I am very well aware that everyone wants the much cheaper flat rates back. But that model does just not scale to pay for all advertising, hosting, etc.
A revenue sharing model is fair and simple.

PS: I just summarized your daily sales for March and April and your sales are a bit higher AFTER the 1st of April. So actually, the change is better for you!

Hi Ralf, and the Tradebit members.
I have been selling online for several years, with various degrees of success. Most sites that offer digital downloads don’t offer the kind of help/support that Ralf and his team do. I have had good advice when needed and would recommend the site to anyone who wants to generate sales with a fair commission structure. I can understand that some members are not happy with having to pay someone else for selling their products. Especially if you have been paying a flat fee for months/years! BUT I can’t find anywhere else on the net that offers the kind of google exposure (SALES!) with bi-monthly (soon to be weekly) payouts. Please keep up the good work Tradebit and hope 2008 is profitable for us all! Kind regards Julian

Ralf,
What is Tradebit doing to increase marketing for the site (increase visibility)?
April 11th, 2008 at 8:36 am
david, we roll out additional sites and we will put up some adsense marketing for these new sites. But the higher our revenue share per merchant is, the better will be the listing of the files in the verticals….

I agree with Julian C, I have tried others and none compare favourably to Tradebit. TB rocks….

I first found TradeBit by needing a download, and found it first on TradeBit. It was very efficient. Back then I was a customer, now I am a merchant. I was sceptical with the new changes, but found the process to be fair, and rewarding. I have added some new products, and together with the new changes TB has made, my sales are up. I’m very satisfied and hope to see TB around and successful for a long time.

Well, you list 2 products and your subdomain trelucci.tradebit looks pretty broken! your colors are white links on white pages… maybe the surfers do not want to buy from you?
