Sending out E-Mails…
One of our merchants asked today, what we use to administrate our newsletter list and I told him, that it is www.campaignmonitor.com, a commercial service, that lets you send out mails in HTML or plain text as, what they call “campaigns”. I have used them 4 times now with updates from tradebit and I manage over 7500 readers with them without problems.
I have tried serveral other possibilities, ranging from my own Sendmail or Postfix servers to managing the subscribers with my own PHP programs: not as powerful as a specialized service provider… With such services, you get a very decent statistic and it is very simple to start a mailing.
To complete this blog posting: there are for sure other kewl mailing service providers out there and I just mention this one, because I use it. No affiliation or commissions involved!
