I wrote about it yesterday, and the almighty Google engineer and spam fighter Matt Cutts continues to talk about webmaster issues on Google Video.

Some have asked me in emails or ICQ, if I am nuts to put stuff like that online, it could offend Matt or make him mad. Well, I don’t think so - he is a fun guy and if you did not get it from between my lines: We (that includes hundreds, if not thousands other professional webmasters) respect his hard work for Google and the webmaster community. He is extremly open and willing to help.

Imagine that everybody, who has a problem with Google tries to contact him and asks “why is my site not ranking on #1, i have done so many things…”. He does not get tired to explain the basics and important aspects of clean search engine practices to newbies and has helped many many webmasters to get their stuff straight. We saw people following him in dozens on conferences (even to the restrooms) to ask questions.

I am in the “search engine marketing” business for over 5 years now and in my 11th year as a “professional webmaster” and I believe that fun (real fun, no blood, no violence, etc.) is part of the web and always will be. Matt knows that better than me, I guess!
