From the early days of merchant reviews on ebay to some heavy bookmarking, price comparison and rating sites today: recommendation marketing started as a buzzword and is hot as it could get today.

We have not treated this aspect of online reputation management with enough care and we are about to change it over the course of the coming months. I want every sale to be reviewed by the buyer to increase quality as good as we can.

Yesterday I had a little chat with a friend of mine, who runs a site for new movie trailers for 2010 on ranker.com. He reported increasing traffic for all kind of combinations with “new …”, where people obviously look for some kind of guidance and opinions of others.

I ended up playing around on Ranker for a while. It is a huge community of kinds of these lists and people seem to love it. A much needed aspect on tradebit as well.
