Is your home wifi lan secure?
A friend of mine will move beginning next year and just called me and told me, that his provider cancelled his DSL line too early.
Well, I told him to switch on his Airport Extreme on his Mac and scan for open networks around him. Guess what: within 1 minute he was able to surf again! Ok, he lives in a big city in an big apparment complex, but I guess a lot of people do and keep their wifi lans open!
Make sure, your connection on your router does ONLY accept machines you want in your network. You can do that by restricting connections to identified MAC addresses.
I just wanted to urge you to fix your LAN or people will connect, we just saw today that there are still open networks around us!
