Yeah! We are online in Germany with Bitclix, our german clone of tradebit, with a lot of new features. We took the english pages of the member area and created a completely new frontend for the german market.
That also includes a blog for every user. These blogs are capable of taking videos as a browser upload and convert them to .flv format. That reduces the required storage space in most cases. If you take a standard digital camera, which produces AVI movies (most of them) in raw encodings, a 2 minutes movie could easily take up to 100 MB. The .flv format (which can be produced by the RIVA encoder or ffmpeg directly) takes then around 16 MB. I found out, that this is the same format, youtube is using, e.g.
However, now I will take a short break from coding and fix some layout glitches and will finally be back on tradebit.com with a bunch of new ideas! Eventually I will also be out in the nice summer
