Back from FrOScon 2007
Yesterday I had the honor to hold a presentation in Bonn at the FrOScon 2007 and talk to other Linux geeks about our Tradebit server setup. I showed our quite simple server configuration and got a lot of good feedback, how to improve it.
Also I met a few cool coders, who have nice new software for media distribution in the pipe and we will try to get into their application as one of their download shops. All in all very interesting informations!
The conference is still going on, but I had to bail out early to get some work done in the office.
Here are my personal highlights of the day:
1.) I learned that SUN has nice storage server called “thumper”, which could solve some of our space problems by end of the year and which is in our price range.
2.) Gaming and Entertainment makes huge progress on Linux as well.
3.) I got a lot of feedback for my presentation from well respected Linux admins and a few good suggestions, how to improve our speed and security
Also a special “thanks” goes out to the FrOScon organization team, who did a good job by leading the herd ![]()

There are many discontinued books from mobipocket on your site. They need to be removed.
