Prices for downloads go up
The offer of Yahoo early this year, that they allow unlimited downloads for a fixed flat rate shook up the market last spring with this extremly aggressive offer.
Maybe they just calculated wrong, because people leech them empty
zdnet says: Yahoo declined to give specific reasons for the price hike and said in a statement that it remained “committed to offering our customers the most competitive pricing possible for digital music.” It previously had said its initial pricing for the service was a temporary promotional offer.
IMHO could that lead to a lot of people just leaving. Doubling the prices is a dangerous move, but could lower the support efforts on the other side.
