Everybody is an artist with a digi cam

Well, there is flickr.com to store and show your photos and there are hundres of other gallery sites. We have a integrated the famous free Gallery program on tradebit as well. And it is free. Everybody with a bit system administration knowledge can download and install it - and thousands did!

Further does EVERYBODY own a digital camera these days (soon it will be a movie cam, watch out!) and the amounts of pictures just started to explode!

Now my opinion about it: too much, too fast! Nobody wants to sort 250 shots on the time you transfer that to your computer! Every camera has its own name convention and sometimes I would overwrite my wifes pictures with my own, just because I am copying my pictures into the same folder... doh!

Ok, there are some things to improve with digital cameras:

1.) Why the heck are the actual file names such a problem! Get a good name rule set, like model no. plus datetime or something like that at least!

2.) Watermarking... a lot of work i have with pictures I took, is bulk conversion, watermarking and renaming: a default watermark, an automated turned picture (= when I take portrait pics, they are always side up!)

Come on you "digicam companies", put some brain in, would ya?
