Finding The Right Backup Utilities
There literally 100s of backup utilities on the market. Free or commercial, simple or complex - for every purpose.
The problem with us average computer users is, that we are well aware of the necessity of regular backups and that we are too lazy to do that manually. Did you ever loose important data, like homeword, letters or even your bookkeeping? It is not a nice thing, trust me!
Before you want to look for solutions you have to classify, which data shall be saved and how secure it shall be. For example: creating a backup file on the same hard drive makes absolutly no sense. A high percentage of failures are caused by hard drive crashes!
You would need an external device, like an USB stick or an external USB hard drive.
I have an external drive with 80 Gig, where I backup my emails once a week.
