Software Channels

With our new co-workers in the company, it got time to find a more professional approach to developing the tradebit platform. When we were 2 developers, it was easy to sync via Skype or email, but now as the team grows, it is important to identify bugs, sync the source code and get everything in order without killing the work of the others.

The Open Source community uses “subversion” for most of the projects, so we installed that too. Most of the advanced functions, we do not need. Nonetheless are the basic functions extremely helpful:

1. Create project and check in your PHP files
2. Download xampp and create a simliar environment to your live system on your local machine
3. Install the free SVN client “smartSVN” to check your files in and out

That we have now to keep our sources up2date and clean.
