No matter if you are a casual designer or an advance professional: The typeface of your design is important. I was unaware of the huge importance of fonts for the design world and how complicated some of the rules are in that field until I worked for Linotype.com last year:
They have a lot of people spending a hell lot of time in creating perfect fonts and managing the rights of the products. There are only a few real professional font creators and managers out there and Linotype for sure is among the top 3. Adobe for example is another (which I did not know, either).
Today we have finished the import of the Linotype catalog into tradebit under the new Fonts Download section on tradebit. With these fonts we link out to the colleagues but provide much more information than the standard affiliate. You may also use the dynamic font creator to see, how your text would look in that font!
