Details:
Having been compared to folk-rockers; Shawn Colvin, Carole King, Joni Mitchel, Linda creates a relaxing rhythmic groove that leaves her audience refreshed and renewed.

Linda M. Smithâs âBlame It On The Moonâ captures the energy and passion of a four-piece folk/rock ensemble. Don Stiernberg on mandolin, Paul Coscino on the Hammond B3 organ, Ken Champion on pedal steel guitar and the venerable Michael Smith on guitar. Linda sings, plays acoustic guitar and keyboard. Rounding out the rhythm section are Mark Beringer on bass and Robert Arendt on drums and percussion.

âLinda M. Smith is a folk-rock singer-songwriter whoâs songs reflect the innermost feelings shared by those searching for more meaning in their life. Her passion emotes a natural, self-inviting style...direct and intimately familiar.â - University of Illinois - Chicago

âSmithâs is a voice well worth hearing.â
- Jim DeRogatis, Chicago Sun-Times

She is a teacher at the Old Town School of Folk Music and fronts her own self titled band which performs in concert at colleges, festivals and select venues.

Linda is supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council and the Heartland Arts Fund.
