WHAT DOES AFFILIATE SHIELD DO?

Many people dislike the idea that commission is paid on products bought through affiliate links.

They will check links by hovering their mouse over each link, and looking at the address displayed in the status bar at the bottom of their browser.

When these people spot an affiliate link, they will either avoid clicking on the link altogether or will type the link into the address bar on their browser, omitting the affiliate ID part.

Tests have shown that you can substantially improve your affiliate commissions by having the browser status bar show just the address of the web site instead of the full affiliate link.

This is quite easy to do using standard HTML OnMouseOver functions.

Many webmasters however do not bother inserting these OnMouseOver functions, either because they don't know how to, or don't have time.

Affiliate Shield will scan all your web pages on your PC (before you upload them) and insert the OnMouseOver functions into every affiliate link automatically.




HOW TO USE AFFILIATE SHIELD

Simply click the Select File button and select the HTML file corresponding to your home page.

Ensure that the Process entire web site checkbox is checked then click the Update button.

Affiliate Shield will process every file in the folder containing your home page and in all subfolders.

Affiliate Shield will not process any affiliate links already containing OnMouseOver functions, so you can safely use Affiliate Shield repeatedly on the same web pages.

The next time you use Affiliate Shield, it will remember the location of your home page, so you can process any new or updated web pages by simply clicking the Update button.


You can also use Affiliate Shield to just process a single HTML file, if you wish. Simply click the Select File button and select the HTML file, ensure that the Process entire web site checkbox is NOT checked then click the Update button.
