FAQ PAGE Website Script

An easy to use faq manager that can easily be integrated into your current website.
You can add unlimited categories and questions/answers.

Technical Support:
For Technical Support you have to use your hosting company Technical Support or your webmaster.


IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
Web server with PHP4 or above.
1 MySQL database or similar.
PHPMyAdmin or similar.
Unix hosting.

This script will not work on crap "free hosts."

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:


1) Go to your PHPMyAdmin or similar database panel and create a database called faq


2) Go your your faq database and upload the tables.sql file that can be found in this folder.
Your database tables will then automatically construct themselves.
The tables will be called cats and questions.


3) Browse the admin folder (which is in the bigfatfaq folder) and open connection.php
Edit the variables to suit you. (All variables are fully explained)


4) Edit the html contained in faq.php to suit your own website design.


5) Upload the faq.php file and the admin folder to the root directory of your server, using your favorite FTP program.
The faq address will then be www.yourdomain.com/faq.php
The admin address will then be www.yourdomain.com/admin

Or you could create a "help" folder on your website and upload the files into it.
If you do this, rename faq.php to index.php
That way, your urls would be:
www.yourdomain.com/help/index.php
www.yourdomain.com/help/admin


6) The admin folder does not have a log in.
If you want to secure it, password protect it by .htaccess.


7) Now you can add your categories and questions.
Go to www.yourdomain.com/admin
(or www.yourdomain.com/help/admin depending on what option you decided on)

Simply follow the online instructions to create your faq page.
