INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:



1) Upload all the files and folders contained in this folder to your webserver.
(The "downloads" folder contains the zip file containing the ebooks... i.e. your product.)


2) Edit dl_db.php and enter your database details, according to the comments. (all variables are explained) (MAKE SURE THEY ARE CORRECT!
(IF YOU WANT TO USE A NEW DATABASE for this script, go to your PHPMyAdmin first and simly create a new database called downloads BEFORE INSTALLATION!)


3) Reupload dl_db.php onto your web server.


4) OK, now you'll need to install the Download script that controls the downloads on the site.

Point your browser to http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com/download.php and follow the online instructions to AUTOMATICALLY install the script.
MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ALL ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.


5) After installation, edit dl_db.php again and change define("INSTALL",1) to define("INSTALL",0) and then RE-UPLOAD dl_db.php


6) After that, point your browser to http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com/download.php
You will then be able to log in to your Download Admin Area (by clicking on the Admin link)

You'll have to FIRSTLY ADD the product to your database in the Download Admin Area by clicking on Add a Product


Therefore , in the Add a Product section, input these details:

Name: Slimming Ebook Pack + free extras
Price: 4.99
File URL: slimming_ebook_pack.zip



After that, click on Products and then click on Create Button.
The script will generate a secure PayPal Buy Button for you.

Edit order.php and paste the PayPal Buy Button code into where it says "ADD YOUR BUTTON HERE."



7) Edit submit.php and change the contact email to whatever you like.
This will be the email that will receive any emails sent to you by visitors to your website.



8) Edit configuration.php
In this file, you can change colours change the website name and metatags and change the look of the website, etc.


9) CHANGING THE LOGO: Locate the following code in configuration.php:


function topheader() {

The html after that is the top part of your website.

Locate /images/yourlogo.jpg and chane yourlogo.jpg to whatever your logo is called.

The size of this logo is 200 x 50 pixels. It is best that your logo is the same size otherwise you'll have to change the dimensions of the image html code.

Remember to upload your logo into the images folder when you upload your website.



10) Re-upload all editted files.


11) OK, that's it!
