On most tracks the singing is backed by a single autoharp or guitar sometimes with the addition of just the right amount of bass. On "Kissing is a Crime" 14-year old fiddle virtuoso Brittany Haas adds a fiddle and on "Snake Song" Alan Smithline adds his guitar... There is one unaccompanied song, the captivating "Cousin Emmy's Blues". The album is tastefully recorded and mixed so that Adam and Laura's voices are perfectly balanced and are clearly heard over the instruments. The harmony singing is a pleasure to listen to no matter which one of them is singing melody. Their blend is amazing and their phrasing is impeccable which can only be the result of endless hours of rehearsal... The endless variety of arrangements will keep you engaged from start to finish.
