13 MP3 Songs
POP: with Electronic Production, ELECTRONIC: Experimental

Details:
Something old, something new. That's the critical musical balance behind Like Clockwork, an odyssey of sound, mind, spirit and poetic lyricism from the chaotic, yet diametrically romantic mind of Jesse Astin.

Excerpt:
From the musically diverse city of Atlanta hails Like Clockwork, a project with simply something more to offer. The music strives to be in your face with acoustic textures, melodic vocals, and instrumentation that you aren't likely to hear on your local rock radio station. Behind this upcoming project is Astin, who brought his guitar sound to bands like Steadfast, Morning Glory, Annapolis Red, Persona, and the band he is currently in, Travisty Theory With Jesse's new found voice, he took his poetic ideas dating back a handful of years, and made them into musical masterpieces.

Recording in his custom-built home studio, Jesse produced all of the material and played all instruments including the violin, mandolin, bass, xylophone, piano, samplers, sequencers, keyboards, and even some spoken word, proving his talent to lie far beyond that of "just a guitarist".

At the tender age of 15, Jesse released an instrumental five song demo, which proved to be the vehicle for Jesse's deep inclusion into mainstream Atlanta's music scene. With his new project under wraps, Jesse is preparing to take his music to the next level and into the hearts and minds of everyone that hears it. Like Clockwork demands your ear's attention.

What is kill the word? In one word: sonicmanipulyricisticpoeticvibegurusound. Sure, the word is clearly made up, but how else can you describe a project as intensely dragged from the inner soul of a young man into the open, pulsating marketplace we call life as Like Clockwork.

A frothing acoustic junction of rock guitar, industrial-ambient verve and poetic mysticism concerning a love so far from reach that in the end it is nothing but unattainable. The word, according to Jesse Astin, is sanctity. But it's killed on the inside. A flower wilts, a young man cries. It's his own dichotomy, however, because Astin can also find the inspiration in pain and lift up the soul heavenward. He is a lone voice in a cluttered world of misfit music and power-punk strut.

Like Clockwork strikes more than a nerve, it kills the word.
