Because 12 Pearls is from Oklahoma, yet do not blatantly copy the heavys of the Chainsaw Kittens or Ablaze Lips (though we agree those are cool bands)
We are from Stillwater, Oklahoma, where Garth Brooks got his begin but we have stayed away from the country route.
12 Pearls is cool because they heavy like the Robinson Brothers and Rivers from Weezer got in a foul bar-fight, then made up over a bundle of tequilas and hopped on a present for a freaky blues-geekrock supergroup.
12 Pearls is cool because they have a new album recorded by Alex Gerst (producer of Slow Roosevelt, Fixture and many more) and it is nerveless It is named "Down to the Last Drop," but delight abstain from word-associating pearls and drop and approaching up with some sordid jest That would not be nerveless
The album has gotten good reviews countrywide and as far away as Australia and Slovenia.
