LETHAL WEAPONS BIO:

The group Lethal Weapons was formed mid October, 2004. The group consists of 2 artists, Venezi & Mista O.
Venezi (David Veneziano) was born on December 3rd, 1984 in Tucson, Arizona. Venezi has had a passion for music since he was 6 years old. He grew up listening to 2pac, N.W.A, Snoop Dogg and Brotha Lynch Hung to name a few. Venezi always had a strong passion for percussion and hip hop. He soon began producing his own music starting at the age of 9 and started recording his own vocals at the age of 14.Venezi felt a need to speak on real life through music. It was a way for Venezi to vent, but it brought the best out of him in his delivery and vocabulary because it had real emotion. He based his style on his true feelings and beliefs. After working with music for a few years, Venezi built his own studio with the help of his friend Josh. Soon after, Venezi met Mista O at a new job where they were both working.
Mista O (Orlando Payne) was born on May 10th, 1982 in San Diego, California. Mista O has been playing the piano and singing since the age of 5. He grew up listening to 2pac, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rymes. Influenced by the sound of hip hop, Mista O mixed his piano skills and vocal skills with hip hop, coming with a clean, professional sound. Mista O began to experiment with rapping. He soon discovered that he had a unique voice and style. With his raw style, you never know what he is going to say next. He will hit you with a word or phrase you wonât expect. He soon decided to move to Tucson, AZ to start a new life. With music always on his mind, he bought a Motif as soon as he got in town. Six months after arriving in Tucson, AZ, Mista O met Venezi at their new job.
Venezi and Mista O started discussing music and found that they both produced hip hop. They soon started producing together. Mista O was very strong with making melodies, but not so with drums. Venezi was very strong with making drums, but not so with melodies. Mista O soon taught Venezi how to play the keys and Venezi taught Mista O how to make catchy drums. They mixed their styles and came up with a unique sound. They decided to form into a group. When thinking of a name for the group, Venezi came up with Lethal Weapons. He felt so strong about how professional and clean their new sound was, he knew that Lethal Weapons would be a perfect name to describe the power of their musical bond. The same day they decided on the name Lethal Weapons, they started producing and recording their first LP called âStreet Mazeâ. Venezi and Mista O soon put up money to get well known underground west coast artists on the album as a marketing tool to help their name spread quicker, also to let everyone know that they were serious about their music and serious about the business. On November 22, 2005, Lethal Weapons released their first album, âStreet Mazeâ.
The album has been an independent success. Lethal Weapons did all promotions and advertising independently. They have built a BIG fan base out of virtually nothing. These two eat, sleep and breath music in all areas. Theyâre not just talking about it, theyâre already doing it.
