Description:

(ID 1005868)
The Lees Newest Album, "Time To Kill" is a strange style to describe. If you mixed Johnny Cash with Kasey Chambers and then threw in a little bit of punk grunge influence, you'd probably have something that sounded a little bit like 'The Lees'.

14 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Rockabilly, COUNTRY: Modern Country

Details:
The Lees are a 6-piece family that was born and bred in Broken Hill. They began over 10 years ago and in that time have achieved more than most people do in their whole lives.

They have toured Australia extensively and performed everywhere, from City Clubs to Outback Rodeos. In late 2004 they toured America and Canada for 3 months and got to tour with one of their biggest songwriting inspirations, Fred Eaglesmith, a songwriter who has had many of his songs covered by Kasey Chambers.

The whole Chambers family is an inspiration to The Lees and has becoming good mates with them over the years. Their producer is Bill Chambers, father of Kasey and founder of The Dead Ringer Band, and he has produced their last two albums.

The currently have 2 film clips out on CMC, which were directed by Cori Hopper, and there will be more on the way with release of their new album.

The Lees also scored sponsorships with Fender and Guild Guitars, and their drummer Jarod, has a deal with Premier Drums and Sabian Cymbals.

They have played with and supported many well-known artists including Kasey Chambers, Lee Kernaghan, Frenzal Rhomb & Ross Wilson.

So far, 2006 has seen the release of The Lees new album, âTime To Killâ which showcases not only their musicianship and the wide variety of instruments they all play but also their ever-improving songwriting skills.
