Originally a Los Angeles native, Courtney LeMarco began playing piano and guitar at the age of ten. His love for the entertainment industry led him to work for several years as a child model and actor until he reached his late teens. In his early high school years Courtney produced his first independent single called âMindgoneâ and promoted the track on the Seattle underground music circuit. This release created a local demand for his music and landed Courtney a front-page interview in the local city paper. Courtney quickly assembled a few of his friends to form the hip-hop group I.D. and began performing at local benefit shows throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 1993 I.D. disbanded and Courtney began producing music out of a Seattle based production studio called MotherLand Productions. His early professional career consisted of writing and arranging original music for various hip-hop and R&B acts and working as a sound engineer at various recording studios throughout Seattle and Portland, Oregon.

In 1998 Courtney released his second commercial release entitled âEgo.â This six track EP was shortly followed up by two additional EP releases in 2001. In early 2002 Courtney teamed up with long time friend and fellow guitar player Josh Wood to form the live act called Lucy. Courtney and his five piece band engaged in a steady performance schedule throughout the summer season and continued to perform for audiences up until the fall of 2003. Courtney has since returned to the recording studio and is currently working on new material.

Courtneyâs signature style of music is a hybrid of classic and modern rock with heavy guitars mixed with the subtle, hypnotic beats and loops of hip-hop and trip-hop. His unique and unmistakable voice is what further distinguishes his music from some of todayâs most popular artists.
