Michigan-based pianist/composer Frederick Isaac has been a working musician for almost two decades, starting out as a professional drummer while still in his teens. This album features an amalgamation of various styles and interpretive approaches, all extending from his varied career as a pianist. His experience ranges from being a keyboardist for Rock legend Ben E. King, to accompanying for the famed Jofferey Dance Company of New York, to "giging" as a jazz and Salsa pianist, to accompanying/directing for Professional Musical Theater organizations and Church ministries, to being a college professor, and the list goes on.

"Christmas Fantasies is a holiday CD containing ten solo piano arrangements of popular Christmas melodies. Every track contains a unique treatment of a well known Christmas tune, all of which encompass a wide range of moods, styles, and influences. The attempt at incorporating various styles was rather unconscious. The final result stems more from the condition that different influences seeped into the compositional fabric as a form of inspiration, rather than a conscious desire for clever display. At any rate, the final goal here is to hopefully engage and entertain the listener with a refreshing approach to an overly saturated market - holiday music".
