Description:
Style curious silvery rubbery pop adventures with dark harmony and snappy chouruses
19 MP3 Songs
POP: Quirky, ROCK: Noise
Details:
In local corner store while purchasing a sixer.
âI moved to San Francisco and into the Mission district in 1997. There is an agreeably artistic quality here for sure. Living in a shitty apartment with bum roommates, people crashed everywhere, mice running around digging in bags of chips, garbage, rotting food, beer cans, chew mold, and debris everywhere...helps.
My unfoundedly dire lifestyle mixed with the insatiable brand of laziness and apathy my friends and I possess in this household surprisingly sparks massive musical inspiration.
I always thought of these songs as an audio diary.
I hope you listen to the songs and join in the fun.â
Sitting in kiddy pool on sidewalk at 19th/SanCarlos.
âMy latest, most listen-able, and professionally produced album is called âThe Sun Comes in Circlesâ. Itâs about girls, Mr. Pibb, bars, beer, parties with live chickens, hangovers, losers, summertime, suicide, stabbing, gangsters, the Mission district, getting laid off, snow cones, and other nifty things.
This album is vocal arrangement, haunting melodies and pop sensibility a la Ween, Magnetic Fields, Flaming Lips, Beach Boys, Camper Van Beethoven, and a drunken Steve Vai mixed with early Prince.â
Fade in to topless beach scene. On sand. Wearing Speedo.
âHello, my name is Brice Frillici and I am originally from Northern Wisconsin.
In high school I bought a guitar and started multi-tracking using two boom boxes.
An interesting start, but after 2 tracks it's useless. During the summer of my Freshman year at UW Madison I bought a 4-track and went to town with it.
Iâve since been making alt/pop/space/noise/metal/art/rock songs.
Somewhere around 1998 I got a Macintosh and started recording digitally. This helped shape my tracks into fuller and more realized recordings. It also streamlined my recording process and multiplied my output.
Hopefully this has been informative and enjoyable for you.â
Thank you for your time.
