Live at the ANDY WARHOL MUSEUM. An anti-corporate music recording....

14 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Folk Blues, FOLK: Folk Pop

Details:
This is an anatomy of an event. An audible documentation of a band working in front of an unattended microphone. It's like one of Andy Warhol's movies. Let's say, "Lonesome Cowboy". Cinema verite only with a microphone instead of a camera. A digital assemblage of sound. Art on art. Music in the museum...

"the minidisc was spinning and the microphone was sucking in reality like a vacuum cleaner"

(With special thanks to Paul Warhola on his b-day #76)

FB

PS A little more info is needed here. I was invited to bring my band The Folk Pistols to the Warhol musueum to entertain and help celebrate my good friend Paul Warhola's 76th birthday. Paul and I became friends in the early 90's working together raising money for the Rainbow Kitchen. So, anyway Paul's friends and family were there and he even made "Foot Print" prints and gave them away at the party. We all had a great time (including the noisy "Happy Hour" crowd at the musuem bar) And in true Andy Warhol tradition I recorded the performance for posterity. Hey Paul, maybe we can do it again on your 86th B-day!
