Freedom Faction was born in 2001 with bassist - composer - & arranger Dan Stewart-Smith, & drummer Ami Rothenberg as founder members.
Dan & Ami set-up & lived in a small recording studio, under the same title, in Londons' east end, getting clients for both commercial & demo projects.
Through their affiliation with many young musicians in the Jazz / Progressive Dance field they ended up playing with such names as Jhelisa Andersen, One Giant Leap, Ayub Ogada, Robert Mitchell, Kevin Davey, Jeff Mills, Andy Weatherall & others.
They were exposed to, wrote & recorded so much music & underground talent that it seemed an inevitable next step to release some of the material within their archives.
So voila, here is their first official release, the eclectic "Freedom Of Choice 1".
Freedom Of Choice 2, is currently being compiled & is destined to feature some hot house mixes from MIM.....keep watching this space for updates.
