(ID 1011232)
Eclectic Christmas album - some old, some new and a Longfellow recitation.

15 MP3 Songs
SPOKEN WORD: With Music, FOLK: Traditional Folk

Details:
Dublin's Frank Emerson, Drogheda's Harry O'Donoghue and South Carolina's Carroll Brown have teamed up to make this interesting, entertaining album of some familiar and some not-so-familiar Christmas songs.

Ranging from Jazz, through Country, some traditional, some standard, an original and even a Longfellow poem, the recording has something that everyone might enjoy.

There is some solo work from each of the fellows as well as some trios.

Backed by Stan Kennedy, Michael Murray, Jay Miley, Frank Cothran, Allen Thompson, Billy Kopel and Anne Boxell, the production values are very high and the selection quite unique and run the gamut from fun to reflexive to thought provoking.

Recorded in late summer-early autumn in Charleston, SC, the recording nonetheless captures the spirit of Christmas in Ireland as well as the United States.
