For more then a quarter century Guitarist Fonzo Nelson has been a passionate musical innovator committed to the exploration of many deferent form of art on the American landscape.
Wining the Bay area 26th Annual Top Star Awards 1993-1994 Top Combo in Jazz, R&B, and Blues. Born in Ashdown Arkansas raise up in Richmond, and Oakland CA. Studied musical theory at Peralta Collage in Oakland California. Began his music career at McClymond High, and Berkley High with the Cashmere Combo playing under the leadership of Floyed Beamon solo, and with the group. The Cashmere Combo won the Jumping George talent show on KTVU channel 2 Jack London Square Oakland. He Began playing with the Dynamic Four under the leadership of Cordell Thrower recording the hit song Believe In Me Baby with Jesse James in 1967. Performed at the Upper Room in San Francisco playing behind the Coasters, Perform at the Long Island Club, and McKessmo Club backing up Etta James, Lowell Folsom, and ZZ Hill, also playing behind the Whispers at the California Hotel during that era.In the late seventy the group was Irma Thomas tour band He reside the bay .
