Details:
The Forefathers are an instrumental ensemble based in Orlando, Florida, playing original World Music Fusion. Formed in early 2005, the band blends various genres such as Celtic, New Age, Folk, and Rock into an energizing and uplifting sound that invokes a sense of inner peace.
Originally, the first songs the band worked upon were "live" versions of studio material from guitarist Rich Marcil's 2003 solo CD, "From The Edge". However, the creation of the newest Forefathers material has been a cumulative band effort.
The composite of old and new songwriting approaches comprise the band's self-titled CD, "The Forefathers" (released in February 2006). The CD consists of 12 tracks and is available through the band's home page at http://www.theforefathers.com.
The Forefathers have been active in the past year playing well-received live shows throughout Central Florida. The band has played convention shows, art festivals, the Orlando Science Center, & various local clubs, coffeehouses, and private parties.
The Forefathers are:
Arturo Escamilla Drums & Percussion
Ross Jarrett Percussion & Harmonica
Rich Marcil 12-String Guitar & E-Bow
