Folk Rock with Country and Irish flavorings.
11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Folk Rock, COUNTRY: Country Folk
Details:
The second album for Johnny Forlorn, Another Round, Please, is the follow-up album to his 2003 debut album entitled, The First Loss. Released on Tragick Records, Another Round, Please, consists of 11 new songs, 9 of which are originals. The two covers include Irelandâs Jimmy McCarthyâs song, âRide Onâ, and then the 80âs classic by Chris Isaak, âWicked Gameâ.
The overall style is best described as Folk-Rock but with some Country and Irish influences. The piano and fiddle, as with the many other acoustic instruments, help define the music as such. Johnny Forlorn is influenced by, and often compared to, artists such as Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, the Walkabouts, as well as the new wave of Irish bands such as the Pogues and Flogging Molly.
