If youâre a fan of Hip Hop then youâre familiar with the term âbattleâ. The act of battling can be found in every element of Hip Hop. In everything from break dancers battling on the dance floor, graffiti artists battling on walls to battling DJâs and last but not least; the MC battle.
Hip Hop label J. Stephens Music helps re-establish the foundation of the elements with their inaugural release of the Battle at Fort Omaha CD Series. The CD features 20 MC's from the Midwest region battling against one another on 10 tracks. The CD is unique in its song format and the process that is used to select the winner of each battle. A survey card is included with each CD, which the public can use to vote on which MC they consider the victor of each battle or their votes can be placed on line at www.battleatfortomaha.com.
The CDâs production pilot was the legendary DJ Suicide whose beats have blessed MCâs for almost 20 years. The supporting cast on production is regional crate diggerâs j.decay & Kirk Markus and Hood Made Musicâs very own Leck One.
The CD is an introduction to a series of Battle at Fort Omaha CDs that will continue to be released by J.
