Country Guitar to the extreme. An all Telecaster guitar extravaganza featuring guest players Redd Volkaert (Merle Haggard), Matt Rae and Roger Fisher (Heart).
10 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Modern Country, ROCK: Instrumental Rock
Details:
Biography:
From the early days (7 years old playing lead guitar with his dad) to becoming one of the hottest guitarists around, Forrest has steadily gained momentum. His latest instrumental CD "Telethon" is Telecaster Virtuosity with guest appearances from some of the best Tele players on the planet, Redd Volkaert (Merle Haggard, solo artist), Matt Rae (Arlen Roth, solo artist), Geno Burbank, Jimmy Yeary and also an apperance by Roger Fisher (Heart, Alias).
Forrest Lives just outside of Nashville TN. He owns a recording studio and collaborates with artists around the world. For the live shows, he pulls out all the tricks from behind the head shredding, to beer bottle slide. His onstage antics make the crowd go crazy! He stole the best stage tricks of Roy Buchanon, Danny Gatton and Stevie Ray Vaughn, but his guitar style is all his own. Forrest is endorsed by Floyd Rose Guitars. He has played at the Summer NAMM show in 2005 and 2006 to captivated audiences.
Telethon has been recieveing rave reviews in several guitar magazines, and the reaction is the same... It's a great disc with something for every guitarist. There's the smoking Tele country twang one would expect, like songs reminicent of Brent Mason's Hot Wired, but the disc also includes bluesy funk with searing tone in songs like Booty. The rock tune Lazy Fingers is full of power chords, and a twisted b-bender riff throughout the song. Cutting heads with Redd, Matt and the other players on the disc shows his distinct style. You can definitly hear who's playing what, and it's refreshing to hear the eclectic tastes wrapped up into a tight package of guitar instrumental prowess.
