Details:
Faye Patton - this artist is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose original songs combine jazz, funk, folk, blues and classical influences. Gutsy, fluid vocals that flex and stretch across registers accompanied, often live, by funky, bluesey piano arrangements. Major influences are Ray Charles, Scott Joplin, Junior Mance, Tori Amos and Rachelle Ferrell.

Faye has been gigging regularly in and around the underbelly of the London music scene, with and without her band, talented session musicians from gospel group Revelation. Venues include: The Vortex Jazz Club (in its old and new incarnations) The Kashmir Klub(host to many international music stars, including Sheryl Crow),The Cobden Club, Ocean, The Spitz,The Union Chapel,WANC Cafe, Club Wotever, The Living Room,Pizza on the Park, Nambucca, Ruby Blue, Marie Lloyd Bar, Deal Real Records (Female Allstars)The Biddle Brothers Bar and Stratford Theatre Royal East. She has also performed in the small but prestigious Jazznacht festival in Donaueshingen, Southern Germany. REVIEW! GOING SOLO BY FAYE PATTON

''Eleven songs written and performed by Faye Patton on vocals and piano. She writes really good hooks, not just on the voice but in her piano parts too, so its just all there in your head days later. Faye won my heart years ago with her line âThereâs a woman on the tracks and Iâm going to lay down by her sideâ. That spirit of empathy is alive as ever in âI Know thePrisonerâ. This new collection sees Faye laying down her piano grooves as solid gold as ever with richer chords than formerly, and some intricate classically inspired excursions. With warmth, soul, delicacy and an impeccable sense of technique and tuning, she patiently unfolds her stories, from the heart rending âA Foolish Foolâ to the humourous âDarling I doâ. âSeason for Everythingâ could be a classic jazz blues gem.''
