Details:
Fade to Blue is an alliance of seasoned musicians from the New York/Connecticut region. Greg McCullough on guitar, slide guitar and vocals and bassist Dave Anastasia are former members of The Hoodoo Band. Brian Ready on guitar and vocals fronted The 7 South blues band. Gary Schwartz on drums is leader of his own band The Blue Rays. Together they form a hard driving guitar based quartet. Steeped in the traditions of Texas and Southern Rock guitar players (you know who they are!), Fade to Blue is as serious as a heart attack when it comes to the blues.
Formed by Greg and Brian in the winter of 2005, the band went into the studio almost immediately. "We tried to keep the recording "sounding live". The rythmn tracks as well as most of the solos and vocal tracks were done live in a couple of takes." The net result is very much like a Fade to Blue live show.
Ready and McCullough share the writing and vocal duties equally on this disc and their lyrics are filled with pain, humor, truth and love. There's no doubt about it, all the members of this band love to play and love the blues!
