Over the past 3 years, singer/songwriter Amanda Falk has toured throughout Canada with artists Starfield, Jill Paquette, Jaylene Johnson and Jon Buller. An accomplished musician, Amanda earned her performer's ARCT in piano at age 18. Now age 22, she is currently working on her second album with Avante Records in Winnipeg. Amanda has won a national songwriting competition through HOT 103 FM, was named New Artist of the Year at the 2005 SHAI Awards, Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2005 Covenant Awards and most recently received the 2006 Juno Award for best Contemporary Christian Album of the Year. She has received extensive radio play throughout Canada on CHR. Amanda is currently on tour with Beautiful Unique Girl, a ministry with a message of worth and value designed for teenage girls.
âI wish I could say that from the moment I sat down to write the first timeâ¦.that I knew that this was a gift I was going to be given and a passion I was going to discover. I honestly just wasnât sure.â But it was out of that first writing session that her first single, âSmallâ was born. ââSmallâ was the spark that seemed to hint that there was maybe more in me to say than I had ever realized. Itâs the most amazing feeling to have written something inspired out of what Iâve gone through, then take that idea, send it out and have people relate on such a heart level that it brings them to tears.â
