The Flo Dreyer musical quintet is one of the most impressive and entertaining groups of the 50's and 60's. Unusual and exciting- full of originalality and refreshing to listen to.
In the comparatively few short years it has taken to bring modern music into millions of American homes and onto the concert stages, many names have become immortally synonymous with this type of musical expression.
Although many years have passed since the group has worked together, three of the gals are still playing with different groups. who could ask for anything more then a lifetime of music and harmony which never gets old.
During Flo's long career she has appeared with her group coast to coast including New York's famous Apollo theater and the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.
Featuring original vocal parodies and arrangements by percussionist Fagle Liebman, the group set records nationwide. This recording leaves nothing to be desired.
Despite her commitment to jazz, classical music is also very dear to Flo's heart. she has performed recently as soloists with the North Miami Concert Band, Hollywood Symphony, Hallandale Beach Symphonic Pops Orchestra and of course small jazz groups.
FAGLE LIEBMAN Drummer/ Arranger
Fagle launched her career with the D âArtega Orchestra in New York. Fagle has gained a reputation as a drummer with a great beat Equally great are the Liebman arrangements fresh and full of creativity.
You can say that she wrote the arrangements for the audiences, custom made to complement the particular cliental wherever the group was working. The people that the Flo Dreyer band played for were never opposed to the more modern type music played when mixed with the standards of yesteryear. The Flo Dreyer band pleased the crowd and always got the applause they deserved. This all girl band was one of a kind.
