Details:
If you're on this page, you probably know something about us already, so I'll save you the rap about who we are. Y'all already know that when you talk about those boys in Full Service you use words like sawsome, rasful, dank, crunchy, sticky, heavy, loud, and smooth. It's the harmonious marriage of metal and reggae, and when they put this CD in stores you'll be able to find it in the "Heavy Island Grooves" section. (Located right next to the Soul section.) So here it is, ladies and gentlesaws: Hoag, Twinky-P, Smellman and I are pleased to announce the release of our new album, SAWNGS.

Coming off our July and August tour of the East Coast, we called up our homie VILLICAN from the band FREEBLEEDER and said:

"Yo hoser - wanna do the tracking for a seven-song EP that we're going to tour behind for our Winter and Spring tours?"

Of course he was down, 'cause he's that kinda guy. The one condition we had was that it HAD to be recorded in the "Slaying Room" (the jam room at FS-HQ.) We recorded our last album in a very nice but very cold recording studio in Dallas. Certain things weren't allowed in there, and it was way too clean. Hoag and his drums and Bone and his skull flag did not feel at home. If we always play in the extreme heat and are most comfortable in the Slaying Room, why the hell would we pay to rent a cold ass studio? For all you recording-savvy people out there, you'll appreciate our pride in the fact that EVERY sound on this album was recorded in the tiny, sweltering confines of the slaying room.

Seven songs recorded in seven takes. All guitar parts recorded in one night. We are recording MACHINES if you didn't know that already. Toughest part was deciding which songs would make the album from our HUGE catalogue. We originally wanted to do just 4, but every time we played a different one for Villican, he would say "That has to go on. No arguments."

So we took our seven raw tracks, masterfully recorded by Villican, and called up our friend Sharon at the Edge Magazine.

"We need a BAD ASS producer to mix this album because we're going to be famous rock stars soon and this album is going to get us there."

"Call Stuart Sullivan at Wire Recording," she said.

Who is Stuart Sullivan? Well it turns out he's the badass we were looking for. Homeboy produced some of our heroes (Sublime's two biggest albums) and many many other platinum artists like the Meat Puppetts, Butthole Surfers, etc. We met Stuart at his house - a newborn baby in each arm- and gave him the rough mixes. He said "as soon as I put these monsters to sleep I'll take a listen." Needless to say he was more than down to work on our project. 27 hardcore hours later, we had our High Res mixes, ready to be mastered by Jim Wilson with Yes Mastering. Mix in some graphic design by my broham Joel at Sko Design Lab and the USA is primed to GET SERVED with our latest, our best, our most tasty tunes yet. If you don't like it, I'll send you your 5 bucks back.
