To say the least, this is Nick Funyak. A solo artist emerging from Western Pennsylvania, Nick has been involved with music since childhood. Starting guitar at the age of 13, he began writing bar chord songs soon after learning the basics. Although he never took his guitar playing serious enough to become a wizard, he always found the craft of writing to be of a much greater joy. Just 2 years after starting guitar, he began playing bass, followed by drums a year later. It wasn't until after he left his former ska band Come Home Greg that he started realizing that writing music would be a passion of his for years to come. He joined an alternative rock band called Labyrinth soon after leaving Come Home Greg, and thought it would be neat to write a song for the group. Finding that writing was so enjoyable, he wrote many songs within a weeks time. Although none of those songs will likely ever be heard, they remain in the archives of over 50 songs written to date. Some good, some not so good, but all of them lead up to what you hear today. Many influences make up his music, so it is very hard to compare him to any band that is out there at this time. The goal is simple: to get heard and help people realize that there is great music not on the radio. Keep your eyes open for future shows and events. If you like what you hear, support and promote.
