Creeping Time introduces their fourth LP, Cheap American Lager. Their new music is one-of-a-kind, original acoustic grassrock, uniquely Creeping Time. The songs on Cheap American Lager invite you to reflect on life, love and politics through a wild musical ride; but they always help you land safely, longing for more.

From the first fiddle notes on the first track, âIâd Be King,â it is clear this album highlights the incredible talents of each musician and gives listeners their first taste of the poetic genius of lead singer & songwriter, Ken Nottingham. Add to that Kjell Anderson on fiddle, Michael Spaly on mandolin and guitar & Dave Forrester on drums and you have your first dose of this incredible album. The second track, Spalyâs âGoneâ, examines the universal longings for love and self-discovery, while providing tasty melodies and straight ahead beats that get your feet stomping and toes tapping.

Track 6, âMiscommunication,â is about the importance of communicating in a relationship and knowing what you have âright in your hand.â As the album continues, we learn some Washington State history in âLyman Cutlerâ, slap a knee to several ripping instrumentals, and pay tribute to the open-air and freedom of Creeping Time on tour with âRoad Songâ. The album finishes with a new, old fashion drinking song in the title track, âCheap American Lager.â This song does a great job summing up how tough life can be, but does offer us a solution This song is a celebration of friendship and sums up the entire album beautifully. When their friends join in for a round or two of the chorus, the album ends in laughter and you canât help but smile.
