John and Christian met about 10 years ago and have been playing together off and on since. John and Kerri got married 4 years ago and God gave them a vision for ministry. Out of that vision came CRUTCH FIELD. John and Kerri joined Christ Community Church and got involved in the worship ministry....that's where they met Erin. As Crutch Field, we began leading worship together for several youth groups. God began to fill our hearts with songs. John contacted long time friend and worship artist, Carl Cartee, and shared with him the vision we had for a ministry. He got the ball rolling and invited us to Nashville over Labor Day weekend '05 to work on a demo. After A LOT of constructive criticism, prayer, and practice, we returned to Nashville to record our first CD with Carl Cartee producing. We were extremely blessed to have some amazing musicians on our first CD. Bryan Sutton played guitar and mandolin. Wanda Vic Burchfield played dobro, mandolin, fiddle, and bouzouki. Mark Burchfield played bass. Brian Fullen played drums and percussion. Crutch Field now stays busy traveling and leading worship for churches and worship events.
