Music has been a part of my life for as long as I remember. My grandmother used to play old school and jazz music. I was always infatuated with the entertainment world. I always felt a certain vibe inside me when I heard good music. After I heard the CD of LL Cool Jâs âIâm bad,â I had my mom go and buy it for me. I listened to that CD over and over again. There was something that just moved me, and I knew from then on that I was going to be a hip-hop artist; and that I would write my own lyrics to my music. However; I did not take the time to follow my dream. My parents and a lot of my friends we incarcerated and I wound up living on the streets. Times were hard and I stressed out about a lot of stuff, because of all the bad things that were going on around me. My father figure was considered to be the streets. The environment that I was raised in was mainly made up of hustlers, thugs, and rap music, or an occasional person who worked 9 to 5. I went to burger flipping, but it did not work out, so like the rest of my family and friends, I started hustling. I got caught, and I was indicted for possession with intent to sell marijuana, I was only 17 years old. I knew this life was not for me. It has always stuck in my mind what my grandmother always told me, âFast money donât last long.â After going through court month after month and jail a few times, I realized that I needed to get focused and follow my dream of being a rap artist. No matter what I did, my girl and my family members stuck by me. My cousin and uncle saw talent with in me and backed me up a 150. Now I am happy to be alive and telling my life in my songs.
