I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I was born in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and moved to New York City as a young girl. In elementary school, my teachers always cast me in school plays with solo singing parts. Although I am an artist and a skilled crafts person, music is my love, singing my joy. I began singing in church as soon as I could hold a tune, often with the Salvation Army, where I've been a member most of my life. Some of my favorite artists are, The Gaithers, Evie Tournquest, Grace Thrillers, Bonnie Rait, Wynonna Judd, and Trisha Yearwood among many others.

I enjoy listening to and singing other styles of music at times, but gospel is in my heart and is my favorite. I toured Italy 3 years running, 1995- 1997, and it was a great experience. I had the privilege of singing for the 2000 Millennium Special on ABC TV. I am a member of "Music Under New York", a great organization for musicians, and under their sponsorship I sang at Lincoln Center in Avery Fisher Hall in 2002.

My new CD, "Heaven Only Knows", takes its title from a song I wrote while reflecting on the Columbine shooting. I want my songs to make a difference.

This CD is the first of what I hope will be many. I truly believe I was born to sing.
