About the Composer
Della Heide, mystic, nutritionist, and spiritual teacher, made her transition in April, 2006. Music was always a part of her life. When she was just a child, she longed to play the piano. But providing music lessons was not possible for her large farm family of eleven brothers and sisters. In church one day, Della heard the minister say, âIf you truly desire for an outcome, pray without ceasing." Della stayed up all night and prayed to learn how to play the piano. In the morning she found that her wish had been granted! She was able to sit down at the keyboard and play beautifully!

During meditation she would receive inspirational songs. Over the years she wrote hundreds of them. âSongs of Della Heideâ, volumes 1 and 2 have been published by The Academy for Future Science www.affs.org PO Box FE, Los Gatos, CA 95031. The group has also recorded and published âCelestial Lullabies,â Dellaâs 12 compositions for babies related to the signs of the zodiac.

In February, 2006, I (Carole Glenn) visited Della in her home in Saratoga, CA, with my mother, June dâEstelle, and our friend Peter Navarro. June and Peter and Della had gone to Sonoma State University in the 1970s where they received their degrees in Psychology and Parapsychology.

Upon returning home, I felt an urgent need to record some of our favorite songs written by Della. These have been sung for years in the Alohem Center for Transformational Studies gatherings. I contacted Gil Yslas, and within two weeks we had recorded Say To The World, âI Love You!â Gil provided the accompaniment, mixed, and mastered the CD.

Dellaâs daughter, Joanne Johnson, played the CD for her mother on Dellaâs birthday in April. Two days later, Della made her transition. We are honored to be able to share some of Dellaâs musical gifts with this recording.

About the performers:
Carole Glenn is a Certified Music Practitioner, a graduate of the Music for Healing and Transition Program www.mhtp.org She sings and plays guitar for those who are ill, birthing, or transitioning in two hospices and a hospital in the Tacoma, WA, area.

Carole received her Music Education BA from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, and her MA from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA. She received her Doctorate of Spiritual Studies from the Alohem Center for Transformational Studies.

She taught 35 years of junior high music in Modesto, CA and Silverdale, WA. She has served as president for the Northern California American Choral Directors Association www.acdaonline.org and the local Choral Conductors Guild and Epsilon Nu chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, teachersâ honorary society. She sang with the Robert Shaw Workshop at Westminster Choir College for many years and also with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Carole enjoys photography and travel in Europe and Asia.
