Latin Guitar, salsa and trance fuse together in a fiery and romantic collection of world music.
19 MP3 Songs
LATIN: Latin Jazz, WORLD: World Fusion
Details:
Liza Carbé and Jean-Pierre Durand are co-founders of the acclaimed âlatin guitar world fusionâ group INCENDIO. They also produce music for television and film. In particular, the compositions they have written for the German-based Sonoton Music Library have often been conceived simultaneously with Incendioâs music. Thus, their Sonoton pieces have often served as both an important creative workspace and jump-off point for many of their more well-known compositions. Presented here for the first time is a glimpse into the symbiotic creative process that has been a hidden part of the Incendio legacy. These short works, originally intended for commercial use and recorded between 1998 and 2004, feature the wide spectrum of their guitar work and world grooves.
Liza and JPâs compositions have been heard on such shows as âStar Trekâ, âJAGâ, âSister Sisterâ, âThe Tiger Woods Storyâ, the ABC Miniseries âCreatureâ, A&Eâs âHistory of Mexicoâ, âResurrection Boulevardâ, âEntertainment Tonightâ, as well as shows on the Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, and many more. Also, together with co-founder Jim Stubblefield, their international recording and touring group INCENDIO has released five internationally acclaimed CDâs and a DVD. They have enjoyed critical success as well as chart placements in Billboard, CMJ, and NAV.
Liza Carbe earned a degree in classical guitar from Cal State Northridge, where she also studied composition, orchestration, and voice. Amongst thousands of sessions and live gigs, she has played guitar and bass with Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac, Vixen, Sara Hickman and ex-Santana singer Leon Patillo. Jean-Pierre Durand is a self-taught guitarist, but actually had several years of piano training as well as choral singing with the world-famous Paulist Choristers in West Los Angeles (who have been featured in many film scores as well as international concert dates). He is also a L.A. session musician '" you can hear his guitar work for friend and fellow composer Mark Governor on Markâs Remax commercials as well as other shows.
