As a child, I would have my parents leave a light on in the hallway during bedtime. It had "magical" powers that would chase away the "monsters" at night and make me feel secure. As an adult I found that the moon (by brightening up the sky) would have the same effect as the nitelite during my childhood. It's silvery touch would always make me feel secure while I slept. This feeling inspired the work called NiteLite: Brittany's Song for my daughter, Brittany. She is a gift I cherish and when she was born I wanted her to have her own nitelite that would guide her though life's journey. This recording of piano music was made to be our nitelite and yours.

Carl has studied music formally for over 25 years. His training in the classics led him to a full University scholarship in piano performance when he was 16 years old. He studied with Steinway masters and was a student of piano at the Conservatory of Wiesbaden. He performed professionally as a pianist and entertainer in dinner theaters for ten years.

Carl Has a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Denver and is licensed as a psychologist. He also has a Masters in education from the University of Colorado. He holds a black belt in Judo and loves to jog. He has run the Pikes Peak Ascent Race and ran his first marathon in New York in November 1996.
